Volleyball is one of the most popular sports worldwide.

Hersching

Hersching

It is more popular than lots of other sports and has as many fans as the number of gamblers who play pokies by going to the link to playamo.com. Yet, some teams are well-known not for their great game but for their uniform.

Herrsching, Germany

Herrsching volleyball players are in their fifth season of playing in a very original Joma uniform. Perhaps, it’s the most interesting in the volleyball world. Designers transferred to jerseys and shorts team image of Lederhosen – leather pants with suspenders in the shape of the letter H. This national clothing of Bavarians and Tyroleans.

Lederhosen are still popular in the Bavarian lands and are taken out of the coffers during Oktoberfest, the largest beer festival in the world. Its epicenter is only 40 km away from Herrsching.

Herrsching created a furor in the 2016/17 season with its uniforms and tries not to deviate from them, changing only the color scheme. The uniform, which perfectly shows the geographical affiliation of the team, is very popular in the club’s online store.

Mizuno in 2016 released a limited edition Mizuno Wave Lightning Z2 sneaker in white and blue Bavarian colors specifically for the Herrsching game uniform.

Ishøj, Danmark

The Ishøj team from the town of the same name with a population of 23,000 people plays in a uniform inspired by the uniforms of the Danish Royal Life Guards who guard important palaces and castles.

As the owner of the club Erling Böttcher admitted, he was moved to realize this idea by the courage of the German Herrsching, as well as the possibilities of modern sublimation printing. He said it was easy to get the Danish army command’s approval. The Errea design was approved right away.

Modena, Italy

Modena Volley have been using the Libero jersey for years as a special advertising platform and has not been shy about experimenting. In the 2007/08 season, the club agreed on sponsorship with Marvel, the official distributor in Italy, so that Spiderman and Iron Man appeared in the uniform.

In the next season, Modena already promoted the heroes of the Japanese pirate comic book One Piece. It became popular in Italy thanks to the release of the animated series.

In 2011, the Emiliano mouse, the symbol of Parmareggio, appeared on the libero’s uniform. Modena is sponsored by one of the world’s largest producers of Parmesan cheese. It is located in the same region as the club. It’s Emilia-Romagna.

Brescia, Italy

Brescia, a team in the Italian A2 series, has been sponsored by local McDonald’s for several seasons. In return, the liberos play in uniforms that bear the image of a huge hamburger.
