Away team started well and won the first set, but Azeryol quickly recovered and turnaround the result with a pretty convincing point difference. However, it wasn’t over. Italian side were fantastic in fourth set and we had a tie-break.
It was the Busto Arsizio who first gained two points lead (5-3). But, that was just briefly. Because Baku players started to block simply everything. Host team “blocked” to 5-5, an then with the same weapon went to 8-6.
Italian side tried to get back into this match, but just couldn’t. After another block of Azeryol, it was 12:9, and it was obvious that two points will stay in Baku.
Odina Aliyeva was MVP with 28 points, while Rahimova added 18. For away team Buijs scored 24, while Garzaro made 19 points.
