Cameroon dominated Nigeria in Round 2 of the 2020 African Women’s Olympic Qualification Tournament. Led by an experienced Stephanie Fotso Mogoung and teenager Ruth Manuela Marie Bibinbe (9 points apiece), the “Les Lionnes” beat Nigeria with 3-0 (25-12, 25-10, 25-8). Thanks to Mercy Moim (14 points), Kenya defeated Botswana in the other match of the 2nd day in straight sets and also reached a perfect record: 3-0 (25-17, 25-19, 25-18).
Knowing that Cameroon and Kenya are 2 major favorites of the tournament, their encounter today will probably be decisive in terms of qualification for the Olympics from Africa.
