Today, with three matches scheduled, the competition at the African Women’s Championship continued. The match between Senegal and Morocco was played in Pool A. Morocco defeated Senegal 3-0 (25-23, 25-17, 25-13) and are currently in second place in the group. Rwanda’s national team is currently in first place in Pool A. Two games were played in Pool B. Cameroon beat Burundi 3-0 (25-15, 25-14, 25-14) and Kenya defeated Tunisia 3-0 (25-20, 25-19, 25-21). Cameroon currently ranks first in the group, while Kenya is in second place. The two best teams from each group advance to the semifinals. Rwanda and Cameroon already secured places in the semifinals, while the other two places remain open.
The 2021 African Nations Women’s Championship is the 20th edition of this event, and the tournament is also played in Kigali, Rwanda as well as the men’s championship.
The teams are divided into 2 pools. Rwanda, Senegal, Morocco and Nigeria are in Pool A, while Cameroon, Kenya (9 titles of African champions), Tunisia, DR Congo and Burundi are drawn in
Pool B.
