AFRICAN CCH M: Al Ahly crowned African champions for a record 13th time

At home in Cairo, Egypt, Al Ahly claimed the record 13th gold medal in the Men’s Volleyball African Club Championship.

In the all-Egyptian final in Cairo, Al Ahly beat El Guish in straight sets, partially 25-16, 25-23, 25-14, to clinch their second title in the African Club Championship. Furthermore, they won the 13th African title overall to set a new tournament record.

The Tunisian outside hitter Chokri Jouini topped Al Ahly in the final with 11 points. Ahmed Salah scored 12 points for the losing side.

Egyptian domination on the tournament was complete with Smouha claiming the bronze medal over Lybian team Swehly, 3-2 (25-27, 25-21, 18-25, 29-27, 15-13).
