Both teams that will play the final of the 2021 Asian Women’s Club Volleyball Championship in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, advanced there for the first time ever.
The hosts of the 2021 Asian Women’s Club Championship, Nakhon Ratchasima QminC VC, cruised past Supreme Chonburi in the all-Thai semi-finals and advanced to their maiden gold medal encounter in the elite continental competition. Their rivals in the final also keep a perfect record, though they had much more difficult task in the semis.
The Kazakh titleholders Altay stood in a way of another attempt of Iran’s Saipa to make a stunner (eliminated Zhetysu in the quarter-finals): 3-1 (25-20, 21-25, 25-15, 25-22). In-form Sana Anarkulova top-scored the side from Öskemen with 25 points.
