On the final day of the pool rounds, Kazakhstan stunned defending champions Thailand with a 3-2 victory (25-21, 22-25, 25-23, 19-25, 15-13) in Pool B. Qatar swept Indonesia 3-0 (25-17, 25-15, 25-17) in Pool C, while Vietnam defeated Chinese Taipei 3-0 (25-15, 25-22, 25-14) in Pool D. China triumphed over hosts Bahrain 3-0 (25-20, 25-22, 25-16) in Pool A.
Pakistan, Korea, and Australia topped Pools B, C, and D respectively. China and Bahrain, both securing early quarterfinal spots, battled for Pool A supremacy, with China emerging victorious. Joining the quarterfinals as second-place finishers were Bahrain, Kazakhstan, Qatar, and Vietnam.
Quarterfinal matchups on Thursday feature China vs. Qatar, Kazakhstan vs. Australia, Pakistan vs. Vietnam, and Bahrain vs. Korea.
