The United States, under head coach John Speraw, kicked off the second week of the Volleyball Nations League 2024 with a commanding 3-0 victory over Argentina in Ottawa, Canada. This match marked the first appearance of the team set to represent the country at the Paris Olympics.

Outside hitters Aaron Russell and Torey Defalco led the American offense with 13 points each, while opposite Matt Anderson added 12. The Americans triumphed with set scores of 25-23, 25-21, and 26-24. Argentina’s Bruno Lima was the match top scorer with 15 points.

In other Ottawa matches, Canada beat Cuba 3-1, Slovenia swept Türkiye, and Japan edged Germany 3-2.
