In April, Exact Systems Hemarpol Częstochowa announced that Igor Kolaković would coach the team for the 2024/2025 season. However, the Serbian coach changed his mind, leaving the club to find a new coach.
Kolaković, renowned for his successful career, including a bronze medal with Serbia in the 2010 World Championships and gold in the 2011 European Championships, was set to return to PlusLiga after coaching in Iran and leading Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie to a bronze medal.
Częstochowa’s team, surprising many with their performance in their debut PlusLiga season, now faces the challenge of securing a new coach as Kolaković has accepted an offer from Halkbank Ankara. The club assured fans that the search for a new coach was successful and an announcement will be made soon.
