Shandong beat Hebei in straight sets, partially 25-21, 25-21, 25-20, thanks to 21 points from Ji Daoshuai to take the lead in Pool A in front of the defending champions Shanghai, who have one game less played, with a 3-0 record.

Shanghai swept Bayi with 18 points from the Frenchman Julien Lyneel. The Argentinean Facundo Conte was not on his recognizable level as he scored only 6 points.

The foreign dynamic duo Artur Udrys from Belarus (26 points) and Matteo Martino from Italy (19 points) helped newcomers Guangdong have a 3-0 record in Pool B as they downed Jiangsu on the road by a 3-0 (25-19, 25-23, 25-23).
