Liaoning vs. Guangdong
The Argentine Men’s National Team member Facundo Conte led Shanghai towards a 3-0 (25-16, 25-21, 25-18) win over Pool A leaders Zhejiang with 12 points, helping his team to come to a point close to the rivals in the rankings. Wu Hao put down 19 points (4 aces) for Zhejiang.
Beijing preserved their invincibility in Pool B. By downing Fujian with a 3-0 (25-22, 27-25, 25-22), they reached an eighth straight win in the tournament. Jiang Chuan and Frenchman Kévin Tillie led Beijing with 17 and 14 points, respectively. Guo Cheng scored 12 points for Fujian.
With 20 points from the Belarusian Artur Udrys and 19 points from Italian Matteo Martino, Guangdong inflicted the fourth consecutive defeat to Liaoning – 3-1.
