Yusubov replaced Italian-born Angiolino Frigoni at the helm of Rabita but has been working with the team for the past seven years as assistant coach. A former member of Azerbaijan men’s national team, Yusubov debuted at the helm of Rabita with a superb 3-1 victory over archrivals Azeryol BAKU in the national league. “I am very happy that I have been given this opportunity and that I can work with such a great group of players. Our team is some kind of a family with world-class players and great people who support each other a lot. Right from the start I got to feel their support and also the right confidence to continue this adventure and achieve good results. My CL debut was also very successful as we claimed in three sets a pretty difficult away match with DRESDNER SC. I hope we will be able to continue this way.”
