India was close to to get the organization of the 2019 FIVB Men’s Volleyball Club World Championship for the first time ever. The negotiations between the country’s federation and the International Volleyball Federation were in the final stage but, according to Gian Luca Pasini, the FIVB has decided to change the location for the event.
He wrote in his blog that, at the moment, the only candidate to host the Club World Championship is Sada Cruzeiro from Brazil. This might change only in the case Zenit Kazan send the last-minute offer. The fee that the FIVB requests for hosting the tournament is 200,000 U.S. dollars.
The Men’s Club World Championship will be held at the same time as the Women’s (China), from December 3 to December 8.
