The Italian outside hitter Simone Parodi will take part in the training of ZAKSA, trying to fight for the place in the roster for the next season. The 33-year-old player parted ways with the team in his home country Top Volley Latina and trained with Itas Trentino this summer.
Parodi has been a member of the Italy National Team since 2008, winning the bronze medal at the 2012 London Olympics. So far, he has never played abroad, clinching the Italian Championship three times (once with Banca Alpi Marittime Acqua S.Bernardo Cuneo and twice with Cucine Lube Civitanova), national Cup and CEV Cup one time each and national Super Cup three times.
Parodi will try to fill the gap that was created with a departure of Belgian Sam Deroo.
