The Round 3 match of the 2019/20 Superliga Feminina between the home side of Barueri and Sesc was one of the most anticipated this season due to a couple of facts. First, because of a duel of the two best Brazilian coaches in the history of the country’s volleyball: Sesc’s Bernardo Rezende “Bernardinho” and Barueri’s José Roberto Guimarães “Zé Roberto Zé Roberto”. Second, because of an expected debut of Sesc’s opposite hitter Tandara Caixeta this season. The one-time Olympic winner suffered from abdominal pain and was spared in the first two matches but today she was the top scorer of her team with 19 points, while Juciely Silva made 5 kill blocks. Lorenne Teixeira scored 14 points for Barueri.
Sesc remained a part of the group of four teams that are undefeated after three rounds. By the order in the charts, the group is led by Itambé/Minas and followed by Dentil/Praia Clube, Osasco/Audax, and Sesc.
