Vôlei Renata, also known as Campinas, shocked title favorites Sesc RJ on the road in the fourth round of the 2019/20 Superliga Masculina regular season: 3-2 (26-24, 25-20, 22-25, 21-25, 15-9). Gabriel Vaccari top-scored for the winning side with 20 points. Wallace Souza tallied 26 points for Sesc, while Maurício Borges made 78% reception (32 digs, 31% excellent). It was the first defeat of the Rio de Janeiro team and also the first sets which they lost in the competition. By this, Sesc failed to reach the top of the charts, having 3-1 and 10 points and remained in third place. On the other hand, Vôlei Renata came in fifth with 2-2 and 5 points.
Knowing that Sesc suffered a defeat, the number of teams that kept the perfect record has reduced to two – EMS Taubaté Funvic and Sada Cruzeiro. Both wrote down wins worth three points in this round.
