Osasco hitched the fifth victory in five games of the 2020/21 Superliga Banco do Brasil regular season for women. In a duel of the two undefeated teams, valid for the fifth round, they beat Sesi Bauru by a 3-1 (25-20, 25-18, 23-25, 25-11).
With 18 points each, Gabriela Cândido ‘Gabi Cândido’ from Osasco and Azerbaijani Polina Rahimova from Sesi Bauru were the highest scorers of the encounter. Mayany Souza set up 5 blocks, while Camila Brait had 83 % reception (72 % excellent) on the winning side. Adenízia Silva made 4 blocks for Sesi Bauru.
The victory left Osasco in the group of four teams with a perfect record and put them in second place in the charts. Dentil/Praia Clube and Itambé/Minas belong to this group, too. Both swept their rivals in straight sets to settle at the top and third place on the table.
