The Mexicans will play against Brazil, a team already qualified to the World League who defeated Puerto Rico 25-13, 25-19, 29-27.

It is the second time the Mexicans enter the final match of the competition with the other one in 2007 when they won the title in Dominican Republic.

“We went through very difficult moments against a tough rival with good technique and very well disciplined. Thanks God we did it”, Mexican captain Alejandro Quiñones remarked.

“This match was very good for us as we worked a lot with our blocking game and also served well,” Brazilian captain Mauricio Borges said. “It was complicated for us in the end, but we know how to solve those difficult situations.”
