The opening set alone lasted nearly an hour and was the turning point of the match. After trailing early, Renata recovered through strong serve and block, gaining momentum that carried through the next sets (25-18, 25-20).

Setter Bruninho earned the VivaVôlei MVP trophy, shining with four blocks—tied with middle blocker Judson Nunes, the Superliga’s top blocker. Libero Lucas De DeusLukinha also stood out, with 75% positive reception.

On Suzano’s side, Guilherme Sabino led all scorers with 17 points, but lacked offensive support.

Som match stats:

  • Attack points: Renata 39, Suzano 40
  • Blocks: Renata 13, Suzano 6
  • Aces: Renata 5, Suzano 3
  • Errors: Renata 26, Suzano 36 (20 on serve)

The series continues on April 26 at Arena Suzano. A Renata win means finals; Suzano must win to force Game 3.
