Dinamo’s women’s volleyball team pulled off an incredible comeback to defeat Mladost 3-2 in a dramatic 137-minute match, giving them a 2-1 lead in the Croatian championship finals.

The reigning champions Mladost stormed through the first two sets (25:19, 25:21) and were up 7:1 in the third before Dinamo flipped the script. Led by Lucija Babić’s 23 points and strong team defense, Dinamo fought back to take the next three sets (25:22, 25:13, 15:13), capping off a memorable night at the Dom odbojke.
Leonarda Grabić was Mladost’s top scorer with 19 points, but it wasn’t enough to seal the win. Despite having more attack points and blocks, Mladost’s 39 errors proved too costly compared to Dinamo’s 23.
Dinamo’s coach Igor Šimunčić praised his team’s determination:
“We found our rhythm late, but our desire and teamwork pulled us through.”
Mladost coach Radovan Malević acknowledged missed chances:
“We lost control in the third set. Our inexperience showed. But we’re ready to fight on Saturday.”
The fourth game is set for Saturday, April 26 at 08:00 PM CET in SD Peščenica, with Dinamo just one win away from the title. Mladost must win to stay alive and force a decisive fifth match.
