Sesi Bauru pulled off the biggest surprise of the 2025/26 Men’s Superliga so far, beating Sada Cruzeiro 3 sets to 2 (20–25, 25–16, 23–25, 25–21, 15–9).

It was Sesi’s second straight win, after defeating Joinville in the opening round. The São Paulo team played with confidence and energy. Their powerful serves put Cruzeiro’s reception under pressure, and their attack stayed sharp throughout the game. Marcos Jose Júnior led the offense with 20 points, while Thiery Nascimento scored 14 with a 70% success rate.
For Cruzeiro, coach Filipe Ferraz started without Wallace, but had to call him in as the match tightened. Rodrigo Leão – Rodriguinho led their scoring with 14 points, one ahead of Wallace De Souza, but it wasn’t enough to stop Sesi’s momentum.
