What a game, what an epic ending! Every single set ended with one of the teams beating the other by two points.
Brazil opened up with 25-23 but Iran equalised right away after a tough battle 28-30. Then again after a drawn out fight Iran took the 2-1 lead 26-28. Kovač’s team led in fourth set by a big margin but Brazil somehow managed to force the tie-break.
It seemed like it was all over because Iran controled the game very well leading 11-13, but then big Brazilian heart pulled of a stunning comeback and won 15-13.
Mahmoudi was on fire with 22 points, while Sidao ended with 16 in Brazil.
