Iran captain Mir Saied Marouflakrani: “It was a wonderful match for us. This is the first time in history that Iran won against Brazil in Brazilian territory. Next week we will have thousands of people supporting us in Iran, but we must fight for every point to win again.”

Brazil captain Bruno Rezenda: “We need more confidence. We need it to find our aggressiveness again, which has always been our mark. We will find it back day after day by training even harder. A lot of teams want to take our spot and it has been like that for a long time, so we cannot stop fighting.”

Iran coach Slobodan Kovač: “I was angry after the first match because I saw the possibility to win the game and we did not manage that. Today we played better especially at service and blocking and did not let Brazil play its first class volleyball which made them lose their concentration. We achieved a fantastic result.”

Brazil coach Bernardo Rezende: “We have to recognize that Iran played a good match, and Brazil played in a lower level. We could not keep the consistency throughout the match. Our defense did not work well. Now we have to work harder and take the responsibility. There’s nothing we can do but to work even harder
