“I firstly met Mauricio about 10 years ago, while we started playing toghether when we were only 16 years old. We are friends for a long time, we know each other very well and we enjoy working together. We have always talked to each other that we might play together again in future. It would be nice and interesting” said Murilo Radke.
In 2009 the Brazilian U18 team won the world junior title and they were both part of that team: “That title was very important to us, we started from nothing and the title came as a result of great dedication. Murilo is an excellent volleyball player and I would like to have one more chance to play with him, whether it would be in Brazil or somewhere abroad” said Mauricio Borges .
Speaking about the international experience, Mauricio wanted to play outside Brazil for the first time in his career. He chose Fakel from Russia before the start of the season, but the club had to cancel the transfer due to financial crisis.
“I really want to play abroad and to have that international experience. It would be bring all my dreams into reality. Poland, for example, is a place where volleyball is very strong and it might be a perfect destination for acquiring the experience…“

Today Mauricio Borges defends colors of Sesi-SP, which is about to play in the Playoffs of the Brazilian Championship. He said that winning the national title would be very important moment in his career.
“I am very happy at Sesi, and I really want to become the champion of Brazil with my team. Now my focus is on the Playoffs. It’s a different type of competition than the league, and we have to go step by step in order to fulfill our dreams” said Mauricio.
On the other side, Murilo Radke returned from Montenegro a few days ago where he has played in the previous couple of months.
“It was a valuable experience for my development as an athlete and as a person. It’s always great to see volleyball on different levels outside Brazil. It was interesting, I would like to go back and play volleyball in Europe” said excellent setter who played the Champions League with Budvanska rivijera.
International experience is the result of the partnership with volleyball manager Geraldo Maciel. Murilo praised the work of his agent.
“We have a great cooperation. I think the experience he has gained as a player allows him to understand how we think. He knows what each player likes and what we seek in our careers. He carefully plans where we should play next, and always considers which destination would make us happy to stay in. Of course, he helps us to improve our careers and to earn money as proffesional players, and that is how everyone should work” concluded Radke.
Mauricio Borges also trusts Geraldo Maciel to guide his volleyball career. “I have been working with Gegê for a long time and I was happy when I heard that Murilo also works with him. Gegê is a true professional who respects the identity of athlete. That is essential.“
