It is not yet clear whether Roberto Guimaraes, a.k.a. Ze Roberto, would remain the head coach of Brazil women’s national team. He obviously has the support from the Brazilian Volleyball Federation, as he led this country toward two Olympic gold medals, however not everyone were pleased the way he was running things at Rio 2016.

Thaisa Daher stated that “she will not return to the national team, if something does not change in the national team”, but, according to her teammates, the famous middle blocker had planned to retire from the national team even before the Rio Olympics.

“I did not read what Thaisa said, but she has always been telling me and Fabi that she plans to retire from the national team after Rio 2016. So, I think that she will retire, no matter who will be the head coach of the national team. As far as Ze Roberto is concerned, I like his work and his commitment. After all, he won two Olympic gold medals,” said Brazilian volleyball star Sheilla Castro for Bruno Voloch blog.
