Before two seasons they came to their first final and finished as the runners-up, but this time Dentil/Praia Clube won in the golden set and lifted their first ever trophy.
In the final series of season 2017/2018 Praia Clube suffered a defeat in the first match by Sesc-RJ while today in the second match at the home soil, they won in straight sets (25-19, 25-23, 25-17) and secured the golden set.
In the decisive set, after many equalizations, Praia managed to take the lead of 18-15. In the decisive moment of the competition, Garay was stopped in the blockade (19-17), but Walewska turned one more and Roberta touched the net for 21-17. Monique sent a ball out of court for 22-17 and Walewska again scored for 23-17. The celebration came with the point by Nicole Fawcett (25-18). After this win they became the new champions of Brazil.
