CL M: United Volleys and Chaumont confirm spots in the Group stage

PAOK couldn’t do anything to stop the German side that managed to win this game in four sets and to claim the spot in the next round of the CEV men’s volleyball Champions League.

Milija Mrdak and Moritz Karlitzek led the scorers with 13 and 12 points, respectively, for United Volleys.

United Volleys FRANKFURT advance to fourth-round Pool A to continue their debut Champions League campaign racing against the likes of Russia’s Zenit Kazan, Turkey’s Halkbank Ankara and Belgium’s Knack Roeselare.

PAOK will play against Poland’s Indykpol AZS Olsztyn in the 16th finals of the second-tier CEV Volleyball Cup.

Chaumont have also scored the second victory over Vojvodina. The middle blocker Taylor Averill was the best scorer of the match with 12 points.

Chaumont VB 52 HM will join Pool C, where Russia’s Zenit SP, Germany’s VfB Friedrichshafen and Slovenia’s ACH Volley Ljubljana are awaiting their last known opponents.

In the 16th finals of the CEV Cup, Vojvodina will face Germany’s Hypo Tirol AlpenVolleys Haching.

The third round of the qualifiers, second leg:

Unite Volleys – PAOK 3-1 (25-17, 25-17, 21-25, 27-25)

Vojvodina – Chaumont 0-3 (23-25, 23-25, 17-25)
