In the rematch of the 2nd Round of the 2020 CEV Champions League, Partizani Tirana from Albania rejected all the efforts of the home team of ŽOK Bimal-Jedinstvo Brčko from Bosnia and Herzegovina and advanced to the next round in their premiere appearance in the tournament. After taking the lead in sets of 2-1, it was clear that the team from the Albanian capital progressed to the 3rd Round. Just like in the first leg, Slovakian Romana Hudecová was the best player in Partizani. She scored 21 points, while her teammate Klonarda Nezaj made 4 kill blocks. The teenager Ivana Radović and Anđelka Radišković tallied 17 points apiece for Jedinstvo. With Partizani’s progression, the 3rd Round pairings are determined.
Yesterday, Ukrainian Khimik Yuzhny caught up a 3-0 loss from the first leg to Croatian Mladost Zagreb and prevailed in the Golden Set in the rematch, while Champions League debutants Vasas Óbuda Budapest from Hungary recorded another straight-set win over Luka Bar from Montenegro.
