With the help of the three prominent coaches, the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) has chosen the men’s dream team of the first decade in the 2000s in the Old Continent.

After debating for the CEV on which players deserve the most to be the part of the best European men’s team of the 2000s so far, the three legendary coaches, Italian Andrea Anastasi, Finnish Tuomas Sammelvuo, and English Joel Banks, have made their choice.

So, this is the Men’s European Team of the Decade 2000-2009:

Setter: Nikola Grbić (SRB)

Middle blockers: Luigi Mastrangelo (ITA) and Stefan Hübner (GER)

Libero: Hubert Henno (FRA)

Opposite hitter: Ivan Miljković (SRB)

Outside hitters: Samuele Papi (ITA) and Sergey Tetyukhin (RUS).

Let’s recall the other dream teams that CEV has selected in the past several months.
