Belarus swept Germany on the final day of the preliminary stage of the 2020 U20 EuroVolley in the Czech Republic (Brno/Kuřim) – 3-0 (25-20, 25-12, 25-23) – to join Russia as Pool II representatives in the semifinals. This was the first time that Belarus secured a spot among the top four in this age category. Maksim Bahatka led Belarus in scoring in the match against Germany with 16 points. Dzmitry Dyleuski made 5 blocks.
Above-mentioned Russia topped this pool after a 3-0 win over the Netherlands.
Belgium filled the only remaining spot in the semis from Pool I as they achieved a straight-set victory over the hosts, partially 25-18, 25-19, 25-21. Ferre Reggers scored 20 points, including 4 blocks, for the “Red Dragons“ who claimed the No.2 in the pool.
