Germany’s Friedrichshafen won’t participate in the Pool E tournament of the 2021 Men’s Champions League that’s to start tomorrow.

Due to six positive corona cases of players and coaching staff members, Friedrichshafen decided to withdraw. The situation when the organizing team of a Champions League tournament doesn’t take part in it is kind of unique but that’s one of the things Covid-19 pandemic brought into volleyball and sports, in general.

Recall that two more teams withdrew from the upcoming tournaments of the Champions League.
