The hosts Dinamo Moscow and Projekt Warszawa played a super-exciting match in Round 1 of the 2022 CEV Men’s Volleyball Champions League – group stage.
Polish bronze medalists Warszawa could not have imagined a better opening of Pool B’s match of the CEV Champions League Volley 2022 | Men in Moscow against the mighty Russian champions Dinamo. However, after winning the first two sets, the club from the capital of Poland ‘stopped’ playing, while the self-confidence of its players was ruined with the all-or-nothing display of the hosts, who turned the match around and took two points. Yaroslav Podlesnykh top-scored Dinamo with 18 points. Vadym Likhosherstov made five blocks.
In the same pool, Turkey’s Ziraat Bankası Ankara swept Belgium’s VC Greenyard Maaseik. Russia’s Zenit Saint Petersburg recorded a 3-0 win over Portugal’s Sport Lisboa e Benfica in Pool D.
