Skra defeated Neftohimik at home and advanced to the quarter-finals of the CEV Volleyball Cup 2022 | Men, doing so while facing some problems, which weren’t too alarming though, in the second set. The Polish side sealed the promotion to the Top-8 with the 3-1 victory, wrecking rivals in those sets which they took. Let us remind you that Skra beat Neftohimik in the first match after the tie-break even though they went to Bulgaria with only 8 players. Skra was led today by the Dutch-Italian Dick Kooy (21 points). Damian Schulz served as many as 8 aces (!), while Karol Kłos set up 5 blocks. Robert Milczarek made 80% reception (10 digs, 30% excellent).

The Bełchatów side became the second team to secure a quarter-final slot. The first one was Kuzbass Kemerovo, but Russians reached so on the account of the withdrawal of France’s Montpellier HSC VB due to coronavirus problems.
