Despite losing 3-2 to Russia’s Uralockha-NTMK Ekaterinburg as hosts in the rematch of the CEV Volleyball Cup 2022 | Women quarter-finals, Eczacıbaşı Dynavit advanced to the semi-finals.’The Tigers’ owe the progression to the advantage they created in the first leg, yesterday, in which they prevailed in straight sets, doing it at home too given that Uralochka agreed to play both matches in Istanbul.
The top scorer of the match was the Eczacıbaşı captain Tijana Bošković. The Serb notched 22 points in 3 sets after which her club gained the lead of 2-1 and secured a slot in the Top-4. American McKenzie Adams set up 4 blocks. In the semis, Eczacıbaşı will play against the winners of a matchup between CSM Volei Alba Blaj and Volero Le Cannet (3-0 in the first leg).
