Ever since, Italian powerhouse did not drop a single set in Pool B. This season’s Halkbank Ankara project failed in the Champions League. After they have suffered fourth defeat in a row in Pool E, and fourth overall, Turkish title holders said goodbye to the most elite European club tournament. Belgian Knack Roeselare ruled Halkbank, 3-0 (25-12, 31-29, 25-18). Hendrik Tuerlinckx topped Roeselare’s scorers with 20 points. Serbian Ivan Miljković had 12 in Halkbank, who will now have to focus all their strength towards domestic championship where they also struggle. In Turkey, Halkbank occupy fifth place in the standings with 8-5.
