In men’s competition in the semis on Friday, Italy beat Russia 3-2 (25-16, 25-21, 15-25, 25-27, 15-13) while in the second semi-final, France easily beat reigning U19 European champions Czech Republic 3-0 (25-21, 25-15, 25-20).
In the women’s competition, Belarus routed Serbia 3-0 (25-19, 25-18, 25-20) while Italy also beat Russia 3-0 (25-20, 25-22, 29-27).
