What a game at Champions League Group Stage opening – Valepa make comeback to defeat PAOK!

Men’s CEV Champions League Group stage have begun with a game in Finland! Valepa have managed to make a surprise by beating PAOK in five sets 3-2 (25-19, 27-29, 33-35, 25-23, 15-11).

The game was simply amazing! As of the first set, the crowd had an opportunity to watch a super exciting volleyball. The third set was so special, as both sides pushed to the limits, playing 68 rallies. The Greek team managed to win this part of the game, however, they didn’t manage to win the game.

The Finnish team won the fourth and the fifth set to write down the first win in the CEV Champions League Group Stage 2017/2018.

Urpo Sivula had a good performance, scoring 28 points (5 aces) while on the other side Ramon Martinez had 31 points.
