The competition will start on October 9 with the home matches slated for the first round and continue for a few weeks to determine the two teams per gender that will eventually qualify for the pool stage. The Drawing of Lots for the 4th Round will be taking place on November 2, 2018.
The men’s competition features as many as 34 teams, with 18 seeded to the 4th Round already, meaning 16 sides will contest the first round, with the eight winners progressing to the second before it comes down to four teams fighting for the two remaining spots available in the pool stage.
The women’s competition features 27 teams, thus only two teams will play in Round 1. Another seven teams will start their journey in Round 2.
The winners of Round 3 will join the 18 teams already seeded to the Round 4.
