MEDITERRANEAN GAMES W: Turkey won bronze medal

This is defiantly a good day for all Turkish teams. The team who went to the Mediterranean Games in Spain won the bronze medal in Tarragona.

In the match for the third place, Turkey defeated France with 3-1 (24-26, 27-25, 25-14, 25-19) thanks to Tugba Senoglu who scored 23 points and Asli Kalac 11 points. Melis Durul and Saliha Sahin scored 10 points for the winning team.

On the French side, Juliette Fidon and Helena Cazaute scored 12 points each while Lucille Gicquel scored 11 points and Clemence Garcia 10 points.

In the match for the fifth place, Italy outplayed Spain with 3-1 (25-15, 28-26, 22-25, 27-25) while in the match for the seventh place Slovenia defeated Portugal in straight sets (25-21, 25-19, 25-14).

The final match between Croatia and Greece is scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday, July 1.
