Recall that the Russian Volleyball League are willing to send invitations to Volero Zurich, Azerrail Baku and Rabita Baku to participate in the 2017/18 Russian Championship. So far, nothing has been decided yet, but Volero’s president Stav Jacobi says that the Swiss club is ready to consider the proposal.
“When we get the official proposal I will be able to say something more about this matter. We cannot leave the Swiss Championship and play only in the Russian Championship. But, if we make a calendar that would allow us to play in both competitions, then it might work. There are a lot of important questions here, like what would be the competition format, how to arrange all the flights, while would also need to take into account the legal aspect. Still, if the Russian Volleyball League send us the official offer, then we will certainly consider it.”
