Salomoni will spearhead Hungary’s campaign for the 2017 season starting with the FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Cup qualifiers in Croatia on May, followed by their FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix Group 3 debut on July. The team will also see action at the European Championship in Azerbaijan and Georgia on September.
Salomoni will rely on his experience and continue the work started by his predecessor, Belgian coach Jan de Brandt.
“I would like to use my experience and knowledge to help the Hungarian national team to further develop and improve,” Salomoni said. “Former coach Jan de Brandt did an outstanding job with the team, as he introduced and helped Hungary to become a power player in Europe. There is no need to implement major changes. We have to continue the work that paid off and brought success to the team. The most vital thing to do is to move forward step by step.”
