The team from the Central Belarus dethroned Stroitel Minsk by prevailing against the same rivals in the playoff finals, by a 3-0 in series, justifying the role of favorites since they won Regular Season as well.
Shakhtior started the playoffs by eliminating Bate-BGU Borisov in the semifinals (3-1 in series), beating title holders Stroitel in the finals by 3-0 in Game 1, 3-1 in Game 2 and 3-0 in Game 3, which brought them a trophy, partially 25-20, 24-26, 25-16, 25-20.
Main stars of the team led by a promising coach Viktar Beksha are middle blocker Kanstantsin Panasenko, Ukrainian receiver Dmytro Sukhinin, another receiver Aleh Khmialeuski and opposite Vitalii Bondar.
