Ishikawa
Promising Japanese receiver Yuki Ishikawa arrived to Italian Latina in mid-December after which his every move was followed by the fans of Serie A1 team and also by the Japanese media, who came to make interviews with him on several occasions. In one word, despite not being famous in Europe earlier, he was a volleyball superstar.
Latina coach Daniele Bagnoli found a way to give a chance to Ishikawa, sometimes for only a rotation, sometimes longer. Still, the Japanese player decided to return home right after his team finished the season by losing quarter-final playoff series for the 5th place to LPR Piacenza.
Ishikawa’s new destionation for the next season is yet unknown.
