SVK M: Nitra win first back-to-back Men’s title in Slovakia in 14 years

VKP Bystrina SPU Nitra made a stunt in the Slovakian Men’s Volleyball Championship (Extraliga) that no team managed to do in the last 14 years.

Nitra defended the national title to become the first team in Slovakian Men’s Championship who managed to do this in the last 14 years.

In the playoff finals, Nitra beat VK Prievidza 4-2 in series, prevailing in Game 6 by 3-2 (17-25, 25-19, 20-25, 26-24, 15-11).

Miloš Horník, member of the winnig team, was the best scorer in this match with 20 points, followed by Andrej Grut with 18. Portuguese Valdir Sequeira and Andrej Patúc topped Prievidza’s scorers with 21 and 16 points respectively.
