SG Union Raiffeisen Waldviertel prevailed in a derby of Round 21 in the Austrian men’s volleyball championship 17/18 DenizBank AG Volley League.

SG Union Raiffeisen Waldviertel outclassed UVC Holding Graz by a 3-0 (25-15, 25-12, 25-17) to overtake them in the standings of DenizBank AG Volley League. The Latvian Matīss Gabdulļins scored 17 points (6 kill blocks) for the winning side, who made 15 kill blocks as a team compared to none of the rivals. The Brazilian Rudinei Boff contributed to the win by making 93% attack (13/14; 15 points). The German Maximilian Auste noted 12 points for Graz.

Weakened by the disease of several players, the next-to-last side in the league VBK Wörther-See-Löwen Klagenfurt had no chances against the second-placed SG VCA Amstetten NÖ/hotVolleys – 1-3. Thomas Tröthann scored 17 points for Amstetten. Arwin Kopschar delivered 16 points for Wörther-See-Löwen.
