VK Dukla Liberec stamped out trophy holders Kladno volejbal cz by a 3-1 (23-25, 25-21, 25-18, 31-29), which was definitely a surprising outcome knowing the positions these two sides hold in the national championship at the moment. Kladno are settled at No.1 while Liberec is at No.3.
Upset of practically the same strength occurred in the other semifinal encounter in which ČEZ Karlovarsko (No.4 in the league) eliminated VK Jihostroj České Budějovice, the league titleholders and No.2 in the standings, by a 3-2 (20-25, 14-25, 25-21, 25-20, 15-8)
The gold medal matchup is set for February 26.
