This weekend in Superliga, Belogorie were led by Vladimir Kuzyutkin. The appearance of a 70-year-old expert on the bench of the Russian giants came as a surprise since they did not publish making the change of the coach prior to the game against Enisey Krasnoyarsk. Knowing the fact he is the fourth coach who was appointed in the staff this season, both as the head coach and a consultant, Belogorie management probably wanted to avoid comments, that would certainly start to pour in, on this.
„Each club is responsible to its budget sponsors. Each club needs a result. What’s the problem? Is it that we put an experienced coach for the playoffs? We give opportunities to young coaches, but we see that they can’t cope with it. It isn’t because they are bad, but because they don’t have enough experience,“ Belogorie sports director Taras Khtey commented on the appointment of Kuzyutkin.
Kuzyutkin already has one job at the moment, being at the helm of Russia women’s national team. Interestingly, he has not been working in the men’s volleyball since 2003 and now has an assignment to help Belogorie interfere in the title race in Superliga.
Flavio Gulinelli was the first coaching name that came to the club this season. The Italian expert came during the summer as a consultant but did not stay for long in the club. in September, Belogorie appointed Gheorghe Creţu as the head coach. The Romanian was sacked two months later when his team was eliminated from the national cup semifinals. Aleksandr Bogomolov, who was Creţu’s assistant, became the new head coach of the club. Now, Bogolomov will assist Kuzyutkin. We will see if there will be more changes of the coach in Superliga powerhouse this season…

Sport Director Taras Khtey should be fired if he is so bad in recruting coaches.
