Lentopalloseura Etta defeated home side of Hurrikaani-Loimaa in straight sets, partially 25-20, 25-20, 25-21, in Week 10 to settle at No.2. On the other hand, Hurrikaani secured No.4 earlier and cannot move either up or down in the standings. Thus, their coach Lauri Rantanen uses the last couple of matches to rest some of his key players.
Joonas Jokela topped Etta with 20 points (3 aces), while Antti Ropponen scored 15 points and Tomi Rumpunen made 75% reception (12 digs, 1 error) for the losing side.
Etta need to prevail in their last game in the regular season, against the leaders VaLePa Sastamala, in order to keep the second place in the standings. If they lose, they will depend on the outcome of Sampo Volley vs. Raision Loimu encounter. No.3 Sampo have only two points less compared to Etta.
