No.2 Omonia stayed alive in the title quest in Cyprus by beating top-seed Green Air Pafiakos in Game 2 of the playoff finals to reduce the lead of the rivals to a 3-1 in the series (Pafiakos started the series with a 2-0 due to the fact they beat Omonia twice in the regular season – Cypriot league regulations).
After two hours and 15 minutes, the defending champions Omonia prevailed by a 3-1 (25-27,25-21, 25-23, 25-20), with the Frenchman Mory Sidibé nailing down some crucial points, according to the Cyprus Volleyball Federation website.
