FIN M: Hurrikaani advance to playoff finals as fourth-seed

Hurrikaani-Loimaa closed the Finnish men’s volleyball championship Mestaruusliiga 2017/2018 playoff semifinals against Sampo Volley by a 4-1.

No.2 Sampo managed to prolong the series of the Mestaruusliiga 2017/2018 playoff semifinals against No.4 Hurrikaani, yesterday, but that was their maximum in the series. Hurrikaani prevailed in Game 5 on the road by a 3-1 (21-25, 27-25, 25-22, 25-23) to close the series with a 4-1.

The Australian international Max Staples was unstoppable on the winning side as he scored 27 points. Matti Oivanen added 4 kill blocks. The Estonian Andrus Raadik delivered 18 points for Sampo, including 4 aces. Timo Leikas contributed with 4 kill blocks, while Venezuelan Enderwin Herrera made 73% reception (15 digs, 33% perfect).

Hurrikaani will play No1. VaLePa Sastamala in the best-of-seven playoff finals.
